Cosmetic compositions for topical application to the skin are provided. The cosmetic composition comprises a vitamin B3 compound, a ricinoleate compound and a dermatologically acceptable carrier. The vitamin B3 compound and ricinoleate beneficially or even synergistically upregulate proteasome protease activity, as evidenced by higher observed net luminescence values compared to the calculated net luminescence values in B16 melanoma cells. |
