titleOfInvention | Method for the 1,2,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene production |
abstract | The present invention provides a method for producing 1,2,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225ye) from hexafluoropropylene (HFP). 1,2,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene is an intermediate product of 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (HFO-1234yf), a refrigerant with a very low warming index and no ozone depletion potential Hydrogenating HFP and hydrogen on a hydrogenation catalyst to produce 1,1,2,3,3,3-hexafluoropropane (HFC-236ea); The HFC-236ea is dehydrofluorinated on a dehydrofluorination catalyst to produce HFO-1225ye. When HFC-236ea is produced by reacting HFP with hydrogen in a gaseous phase, only the hydrogen consumed in the reaction is appropriately introduced, thereby eliminating the process of separating and circulating the unreacted hydrogen and suppressing the side reaction by excess hydrogen. HFO-1225ye is produced by directly introducing the gaseous product (HFC-236ea) produced in the hydrogenation reaction into the dehydrofluorination reaction in the vapor phase without any separate step. Also, in the present invention, a method of circulating HFC-236ea unreacted in the HFC-236ea dehydrofluorination reaction to the proper amount hydrogenation reactor is used in order to efficiently remove the reaction heat of the HFP hydrogenation reaction and to control the reaction temperature. |
