Fine particle, high concentration, polyisocyanate polyaddition/polyurethane-urea polyols |
abstract |
Embodiments of the present invention include a method of making a polymer polyol dispersion. B) one or more seed groups; c) one or more catalysts; d) an equivalent of less than 400 and attaching to nitrogen or oxygen atoms, wherein the reaction system comprises at least one of a) At least one co-reactant having at least one active hydrogen, and e) at least one polyisocyanate. Wherein the at least one seed population comprises seed particles having a diameter of less than 5 [mu] m, accounting for less than about 5% by weight of the total weight of the at least one reaction system. The at least one reaction mixture reacts in at least one polyol without the addition of any catalyst including tin to form at least one of the polyurea and polyurethane-urea particle population. The polymer polyol dispersion has a solids content of at least 15% by weight of the polymer polyol dispersion. |
