abstract The present invention relates to a method for producing an implant from an animal dermis, in particular from a pig dermis, comprising the steps of: a) providing an animal dermis, b) treating said animal dermis with an aqueous solution containing sodium sulphide C) treating the dermis once or several times with aqueous saline, d) optionally treating the dermis once or several times with an aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution, and e) dehydrating the dermis. The present invention further relates to an implant obtainable by the above-mentioned method.
