abstract |
The present invention relates to a composition for controlling skin pigment formation or a composition for skin whitening comprising the stromal cell-derived factor 1 (SDF1) as an active ingredient, and relates to the role of SDF1 in the regulation of skin pigmentation Respectively. The present inventors have confirmed a decrease in SDF1 expression in senescent hyperpigmented lesions (lentigo). In addition, it was confirmed that SDF1 secreted from fibroblasts inhibits melanogenesis of melanocytes and inhibits expression of SDF1 derived from fibroblasts to promote melanogenesis of melanocytes. Therefore, SDF1 is expected to be an effective treatment strategy for skin pigment diseases such as hypercholesterolemia. |
