abstract |
The present invention relates to a medical device and a method of using the medical device. A device is a stent that can be delivered through the skin using an intravascular catheter (or on a catheter) or by other surgery or other techniques, and then expanded. The stent is configured to have a central portion defined by an "open" cell and at least two ends formed and spaced apart by a "closed" cell and directly connected to the distal and proximal ends of the central portion of the stent. The stent may also optionally have a lattice with a covering or opening. |
