titleOfInvention Composition for preventing, improving or treating erectile dysfunction comprising cavernous derived exosome
abstract The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating erectile dysfunction, comprising corpus cavernosum penis-derived exosomes as an effective component, wherein the composition includes a pharmaceutical composition, a quasi-drug composition, a functional health food, and the like. The corpus cavernosum penis-derived exosomes of the present invention, and in particular, exosomes derived from the pericyte cells of corpus cavernosum penis increase the expression of platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1 (PECAM-1) which is a vascular endothelial cell-specific protein, neural/glial antigen 2 (NG2) which is a pericyte cell-specific protein, alpha-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) which is a smooth muscle cell-specific protein, and beta-III tubulin which is a neuron-specific protein, and improves the tube formation ability of endothelial cells in the corpus cavernosum penis. Unlike conventional erectile dysfunction drugs that attempt to improve erectile dysfunction through a transient increase in the blood flow, the corpus cavernosum penis-derived exosomes of the present invention fundamentally address an abnormalized structure of corpus cavernosum penis, and thus provide therapeutic effects for erectile dysfunction. Accordingly, the corpus cavernosum penis-derived exosomes of the present invention may be widely used in the biomedical field related to erectile dysfunction.
