abstract An azeotropic and azeotropic composition of trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (HFO-1234ze (E)) and water is provided. Such azeotropic and azeotropic compositions are useful for the separation of trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene from impurities during manufacture. The azeotropes of the present invention are likewise useful for the preparation of final compositions or final compositions such as foaming agents, propellants, refrigerants, diluents for vapor phase sterilization and the like.
