abstract | An electrical device is disclosed herein that includes continuous fibers into which carbon nanotubes are implanted. The electrical device includes at least a first electrode layer and a second electrode layer each comprising a plurality of continuous fibers into which carbon nanotubes are implanted. In some embodiments, the electrical device can be a supercapacitor and includes at least a separator material layer disposed between the base plate, the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer, and an electrolyte in contact with the first and second electrode layers . The first electrode layer and the second electrode layer can be formed by uniformly winding the continuous fibers. The electrical device may comprise any number of additional electrode layers, each separated by a layer of separator material. A method of manufacturing an electrical device is also described. |
