titleOfInvention | Diagnostic methods for determining prognosis of non-small-cell lung cancer |
abstract | Described herein are methods of identifying patients with early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who have a poor prognosis for recurrence of lung cancer after surgical resection. This method is based in part upon the discovery that an increase in chromosome copy number at Chr19, 34.7 Mb to 35.6 Mb can be used for prognostic classification. The method preferably hybridizes the patient sample with a fluorescently labeled nucleic acid probe using fluorescence in the asymmetric manner to quantify the chromosomal copy number of the gene locus of the gene containing the cyclin E1 gene. |
