abstract |
Some cells can achieve greatly improved performance by using electrodes with randomly arranged graphene nanosheets, which form a network of channels defining a continuous flow path through the electrodes. The network of channels may provide a diffusion path for the liquid electrolyte and / or reactant gas. Metal air cells can benefit from these electrodes. Lithium air cells in particular exhibit very high capacities, and the network of channels allows oxygen to diffuse through the electrodes, and mesopores in the electrodes can store discharge products. |
