abstract | The disclosure of the present invention is a polymer composition with improved dielectric breakdown strength. The polymer composition comprises a polyolefin and a voltage stabilizer. The voltage stabilizer contains triazine. Triazines may contain substituents that enable keto-enol tautomerism, which provides voltage stabilizers with additional energy capacity. When the polymer composition of the present invention is used as an insulating layer of a power cable, it exhibits improved dielectric breakdown strength. |
