abstract An apparatus and a method for fine contact printing are disclosed. The fine contact printing apparatus includes a flat stamp and a pressure roller. The pressure roller includes an inflatable bladder that can be inflated to a pressure that reduces printing defects such as voids and stamp collapse by the fluid. The substrate is disposed between the pressure roller and the stamp coated with the ink of the functional gas molecules. As the pressure roller moves over the substrate, at least a portion of the functionalized molecules are transferred from the stamp to the substrate in a desired pattern.
