titleOfInvention Context-based object retrieval in a social networking system
abstract Embodiments relate to the ability of users of the social networking system to retrieve information likely to be associated with them by learning / learning or applying search contexts associated with selector elements used to search for objects of a social networking system . The search context is specific to the use of an individual selector and therefore need not be as general as the context of the entire page or set of pages into which the selector can be embedded. The social networking system can learn the context of the selector by monitoring the user selection from previous search results performed using the selector.
