titleOfInvention System and method for effecting hyperthermic treatment using applicator
abstract BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention [0001] The present invention relates to a hyperthermia therapy applying heat to an affected area using an applicator. In the present invention, an optimum frequency for treatment with hyperthermia is measured by measuring permeability of magnetic nanoparticles based on the imaginary part of the permeability measured by a probe for measurement of permeability, and by operating the applicator at that frequency, By raising the temperature of the nanoparticles to a temperature suitable for hyperthermia therapy, temperature rise of normal tissues is minimized and only the temperature of cancer tissues is selectively raised, thereby improving the performance of the hyperthermia treatment and minimizing side effects.
