abstract | Suitable fluoroalkyl alkyl carbonates and fluoro substituted carbamates as additives or solvents in lithium ion batteries are prepared from fluoroalkyl fluoroformates, alcohols or amines, respectively. Preferred alcohols are methanol, and preferred amines are dimethylamine and diethylamine. Fluoromethyl methyl carbonate is a preferable compound to be produced. Fluoroalkyl fluoroformates can be prepared from aldehydes and carbonyl fluorides. |
