Catalytic system for conjugated diene polymerisation, polymerisation method and functional polymer obtained |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a novel catalyst system for polymerization, and more particularly to a novel catalyst system for producing a conjugated diene polymer having a polar functional group at the chain end. The catalyst system is based on a metal salt of a rare earth metal and an organometallic compound as an alkylating agent based on a metal from Group 2 or Group 13 of the Periodic Table which is capable of transferring polar functional groups to the diene elastomer during the conjugated diene polymerization step . The novel catalyst system advantageously ensures optimal functionality of 100% or 100% while reducing the steps necessary to synthesize functional diene elastomers at the chain ends. |
