The present invention provides an optical material or a siloxane resin composition for coating electric materials, which is obtainable from copolymerizing a monomer containing a silane compound containing an aliphatic epoxy group and an alkoxy group and a monomer containing a silane compound containing a cyclosiloxane group. The siloxane resin composition can show excellent light transmittance and heat-resistance. Accordingly, it can be advantageously used as an optical material and an electrical material, and specifically, as a film coating material, an LED encapsulating material, etc. Moreover, the siloxane resin composition for coating can show an excellent curing rate of 8H or above. Accordingly, a cured material produced using the siloxane resin composition can be widely utilized in place of conventional glass in industries related to displays, optical lens, transparent plates in large buildings, and automobiles. |
