titleOfInvention Method and system for biofouling control of shipboard components
abstract A chlorine-based bio-pollution control subsystem is used to facilitate marine water treatment systems such as ballast water treatment using filters. The bio-pollution control system can serve as a subsystem to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the ballast water treatment management system by promoting pollution prevention and reducing filter clogging due to bio-pollution. Antifouling agents in biological pollution control systems destroy dense communities of marine organic matter that are filtered and treated by the main water management system.
