abstract | The poly (arylene ether) -polysiloxane multiblock copolymer is prepared by reacting a hydroxy-diterminated poly (arylene ether), a hydroxyaryl-double end polysiloxane and an aromatic diacid chloride. This synthesis overcomes the drawbacks associated with the synthesis of known poly (arylene ether) -polysiloxane block copolymers. Poly (arylene ether) -polysiloxane multiblock copolymers are useful for improving the melt processability of poly (arylene ether) compositions. |
