abstract There is provided a secondary battery comprising a positive electrode, a negative electrode, an alkaline electrolyte, a separator structure, and a resin container. The separator structure includes a ceramic separator comprising an inorganic solid electrolyte having hydroxide ion conductivity and a resin frame and / or a resin film surrounding the periphery of the ceramic separator if desired. The separator structure is bonded to the resin container through an adhesive, and / or the ceramic separator is bonded to the resin frame and / or the resin film through an adhesive. The adhesive is selected from epoxy resin adhesives, natural resin adhesives, modified olefin resin adhesives and modified silicone resin adhesives, and the weight change when immersed in an aqueous solution of 9 mol / L of KOH in a solidified form at 25 DEG C for 672 hours 5% or less. According to the present invention, there is provided a highly reliable secondary battery in which a ceramic separator and a separator structure including the ceramic separator are firmly bonded to a resin member such as a resin container.
