abstract The present invention relates to an artificial implant for bone regeneration capable of continuously releasing a drug on the surface of a surface aminated mesoporous bioactive glass nanosphere capable of effectively transferring a biomolecule such as drug or gene. The present invention also relates to fiber scaffolds comprising mesoporous bioactive glass nanospheres and methods of making the same. The fiber scaffolds comprising the surface aminated bioactive glass nanospheres of the present invention provide for the safe loading and sustained release of biomolecules.
