Lactobacillus plantarum LLP5273 is excellent in decomposition ability for complex bile acids, and is excellent in acid resistance and bile resistance, so that it can reach the intestines safely. In addition, when treated with a cell lysate and treated with liver cells, it has a significant inhibitory effect on HMG-CoA reductase, one of the major enzymes involved in cholesterol synthesis.
