titleOfInvention | Electrochemical gas sensor with an ionic liquid electrolyte system including at least one monoalkylammonium, dialkylammonium, or trialkylammonium cation |
abstract | The electrochemical gas sensor includes an ionic liquid as an electrolyte. The ionic liquid comprises at least one cation selected from the group of monoalkylammonium cations, dialkylammonium cations, and trialkylammonium cations. Each of the alkyl groups of the cation may be branched or unbranched and has 1 to 4 carbon atoms. Each of the alkyl groups of the cation may be the same or different in the case of the dialkylammonium cation and the trialkylammonium cation. In some embodiments, each alkyl group has 2 to 4 carbon atoms. |
