titleOfInvention | Composition for preventing or treating cancer comprising Cathepsin S inhibitor and TRAIL |
abstract | The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition and a pharmaceutical composition for enhancing anti-cancer effects, comprising a cathepsin S inhibitor, which can overcome TRAIL resistance, and to a method for promoting cancer cell death. When Z-FL-COCHO, which is a cathepsin S inhibitor, and TRAIL are concomitantly administered to any one of cancer cells among kidney cancer, breast cancer and glioma, the differentiation of Poly(ADP-Ribose)Polymerase (PARP) increases, Bcl-2 and c-FLIP(L), which is an inhibitor of apoptosis protein (IAP) decreases, and TRAIL-induced apoptosis of cancer cells increases. Thus, the compositions of the present invention can be beneficially used for preventing or treating kidney cancer, breast cancer and glioma. |
