The present invention relates to novel cell penetrating peptide and uses thereof. The peptide consists of a small number of amino acids (more specifically, four amino acids) and has a high proportion of hydrophobic amino acids, thereby being hardly degradable by a protease and having excellent cell permeability. In addition, both ends of the peptide of the present invention, specifically on the c-terminus, are coupled to a target cargo, so the peptide can transfer the target cargo (for example, siRNA) into a cell (cytoplasm) stably and effectively. Therefore, a drug carrier containing the peptide of the present invention, a method for transferring a target cargo using the same, and a composition containing the peptide can be used in treatment for diseases or ailments, detection of specific cells, diagnosis of diseases (for example, cancer), tracking of the location of a specific cell, vivo imaging, etc. |
