titleOfInvention Laminated electrically tintable windows
abstract A method of making an electrically tintable window glass having various sizes and functions is described. The method comprises the steps of: (a) providing a large format glass substrate; (b) fabricating a plurality of electrically dyable thin film elements on the large format glass substrate; (c) cutting said large format glass substrate into a plurality of electrically dyable pieces, each electrically dyeable piece comprising one of said plurality of electrically dyeable thin film elements; (d) providing a plurality of pieces of window glass; (e) matching each piece of the plurality of electrically dyable pieces with a corresponding piece of the plurality of window glass pieces; And (f) laminating each of the matched electrically dyeable pieces and the window glass pieces. The lamination can make the electrically dyeable element sandwiched between the glass substrate and the piece of window glass or on the surfaces of the laminated pieces. The electrically dyable element is an electrochromic element.
