titleOfInvention | Vein identification technique |
abstract | A method for identifying a vein in a patient is disclosed. The technique involves the application of a thermochromic ink to the vein area on the skin of a patient (human or animal). The thermochromic ink includes thermochromic microcapsules containing proton-accepting chromogen and a desensitizer. The sensitizer has a melting point at which the chromogen is quantized at a temperature above the melting point so that a color change can occur. The vein area is then observed for color change. |
