titleOfInvention | A novel thermostable yeast Pichia guilliermondii Y-2 and use thereof |
abstract | The present invention relates to a strain of Pichia guilliermondii Y-2 of Accession No. KCTC 12322BP, a composition for producing ethanol comprising the strain and a culture thereof, and a culture containing the strain and a culture thereof in a sample containing sugar And then fermenting the resulting mixture. The novel high-temperature stable yeast Pichia gillerium strain Y-2 of the present invention was found to be capable of stably growing at a high temperature and having ethanol efficacy. Thus, a recombinant strain is prepared by introducing a gene encoding an enzyme that acts on xylose metabolism, thereby providing a strain having ethanol production ability using pentose as well as hexane. Therefore, the recombinant strains of the present invention can be widely used in industrial processes such as bioethanol production from cellulose biomass, since ethanol fermentation can be performed using both pentose and hexose at high temperatures. |
