The present invention relates to a composition for repelling a rodent, containing a 4-methoxy benzoic acid derivative, as an active ingredient and, specifically, to a composition for repelling a rodent, containing a 4-methoxy benzoic acid derivative, as an active ingredient, by an esterification reaction which reacts 4-methoxy benzoic acid or 4-methoxy acrylic acid and thionyl chloride with corresponding alcohol under acidic catalyst conditions. A feed avoiding experiment, an ocular mucous membrane irritation test for evaluating skin stability, and a primary irritation test using artificial skin model, using the 4-methoxy benzoic acid derivative are performed, thereby being non-toxic and non-irritating and showing an excellent repellent effect on rodents. |
