abstract |
The present inventors provide a method for changing the isoelectric point while maintaining the binding activity of an antibody to an antigen by modifying the charge of one or more amino acid residues that can be exposed on the surface of the complementarity determining region (CDR). The present invention also provides a method for purifying a multispecific antibody by modification of the isoelectric point and a method for improving the pharmacokinetics of the antibody in plasma by modification of the isoelectric point. The present invention also provides an antibody having an isoelectric point modified, a pharmaceutical composition containing the antibody as an active ingredient, and a method for producing the same. |
