titleOfInvention | Process and plant for treating ore concentrate particles containing valuable metal |
abstract | The present invention relates to a method and a plant for the treatment of concentrate particles containing a valuable metal and having at least arsenic and sulfur containing elements. The method includes a two-step roasting process, namely a first roasting step (1) in the first roasting reactor (16) and a second roasting step (3) in the second roasting reactor (17). A gas mixture is formed from the primary process gas element 2 obtained from the primary roasting step 1 and the secondary process gas element 4 obtained from the secondary roasting step 3. Post-combustion of the gas mixture occurs in the post-combustion chamber 6. Post-combustion is SO 3 Rich, reducing primary gas element (2) and secondary process gas element (4) as oxidizing agent gas to decompose SO 3 in the gas mixture in order to reduce the content. The risk of adherent formation and corrosion at the post combustion chamber and subsequent stages is reduced. Finally, the off-gas 7 is treated with subsequent gas cooling and dust removal steps 8-11. |
