abstract A control system for reducing nitrogen oxides in the engine exhaust of an engine includes an exhaust gas catalyst adapted to receive exhaust from the engine. The reducing agent tank stores the reducing agent. The injector is in fluid communication with the reducing agent tank and is operable to inject a reducing agent into the exhaust upstream of the catalyst. The reducing agent pump pumps the reducing agent from the reducing agent tank to the injector. The controller determines the target pressure of the reducing agent based on the engine operating condition and operates the reducing agent pump based on the target pressure.
