In an aspect, the present invention provides a polyester block copolymer, wherein a repeating unit thereof is represented by the following Chemical Formula 1; mechanical properties and the period of biodegradation are adjustable; and a biocompatible function group can be introduced through an additional chemical reaction of various functional groups present at the location of R: [Chemical Formula 1]. In the above Chemical Formula 1, R is a methoxy group, a benzyl ether group, a nitro phenyl group, a silyl ether, a hydroxyl group, an amine group, a carboxyl group, a peptide group or a bioactive functional group; and a, a′, b, b′, c and c′ are the mole ratio of a monomer and a + a′ + b + b′ + c + c′ is equal to 1. The biocompatible copolymer according to the present invention can be advantageously used as a medical material such as a drug delivery body, a medical matrix, a shielding film, a wound coating material and a tissue engineering material. |
