abstract The disclosure encompasses compositions comprising a surface layer comprising a reaction product of a mixture comprising a non-fluorinated binder precursor (e.g., of a hard coat composition) and at least one polymerizable perfluoropolyether polymer (e.g., Transmissive) substrate, such as an optical display and a protective film, are described. The resulting cured surface layer advantageously exhibits low lint drag with low surface energy. In addition, the first- and second-stage synthesis method of a perfluoropolyether polymer having a polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated group is described.
