abstract The present invention relates to an electrode assembly and a method of manufacturing the same, and particularly to an electrode assembly in which an electrode and a separator are combined by a high viscosity binder and a method of manufacturing the same. According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method for producing a porous membrane, comprising the steps of: preparing a porous separator having a porous coating layer formed on at least one surface thereof by coating a mixture of a plurality of inorganic particles and a first binder on at least one surface of the porous substrate; There is provided a method of manufacturing an electrode assembly including a step of transferring a binder by a patterned coating method to form an electrode adhesive layer and a step of laminating electrodes on an electrode adhesive layer formed on at least one side of the porous separator. According to the present invention, it is possible to manufacture an electrode assembly of a thin binder layer in which a separator having intrinsic air permeability is strongly bonded to an electrode by a high viscosity binder.
