abstract | The process for producing trans-1,4-bis (aminomethyl) cyclohexane comprises subjecting at least one terephthalic acid or derivative thereof selected from the group consisting of terephthalic acid, terephthalic acid ester and terephthalic acid amide to nuclear hydrogenation to obtain hydrogen terephthalic acid or a derivative thereof A step of contacting the hydrogenated terephthalic acid or its derivative obtained by the nuclear hydrogenation process with ammonia to obtain trans-1,4-dicyanocyclohexane from the obtained 1,4-dicyanocyclohexane, (Aminomethyl) cyclohexane is obtained by bringing trans-1,4-dicyanocyclohexane obtained by an aging process into contact with hydrogen to obtain an aminomethylation process of obtaining trans-1,4-bis do. In the cyanization step, the metal content of trans-1,4-dicyanocyclohexane obtained is 3000 ppm or less by using a metal oxide as a catalyst. |
