Provided is a small cylindrical battery which realizes both improvement of battery characteristics and improvement of long-term reliability and stability. The cylindrical battery includes a cylindrical bottomed cylindrical battery case 1, an electrode group 5 accommodated in the battery case 1 together with the electrolyte, a sealing member 8 fitted in the opening of the battery case 1, The opening of the battery case 1 is sealed by drawing the sealing member 8 and the gasket 9 interposed between the battery case 1 and the opening end of the battery case 1. The battery case 1 is made of stainless steel. The outer diameter of the battery case 1 is 10 mm or less, and the thickness of the battery case is 0.05 mm or more and 0.2 mm or less. |
