titleOfInvention | Treatment of diseases accompanied by choroidal neovascularization |
abstract | The present inventors have focused on the fact that choroidal neovascularization is promoted by inflammation under the macula (黄斑 망) retina and have developed drugs that inhibit the onset or progression of angiogenesis caused by angiogenic factors such as VEGF. Specifically, it was clarified that the development of choroidal neovascularization was inhibited by administration of an anti-IL-6 receptor monoclonal antibody to a mouse subjected to laser photocoagulation treatment. |
