| abstract |
The present invention relates to a method of producing a molded article from carbon fibers containing carbon in an amount less than 20% by weight, comprising the steps of: a) a waste part or scrap from a carbon fiber- crushing a scrap part, wherein the carbon fiber-reinforced composite material is preferably a carbon fiber-reinforced composite, carbon fiber-reinforced carbon or carbon-reinforced concrete; b) producing a mixture containing less than 20% by weight of carbon fibers from the milled product obtained in step a), a binder such as pitch, a carbonaceous material such as coke and optionally one or more additives; c) molding the mixture obtained in step b) into a molded article; d) carbonizing the molded article obtained in step c); e) optionally, impregnating the carbonized molded article obtained in step d) with an impregnation agent; And f) optionally graphitizing the carbonized molded article in step d) or the impregnated molded article in step e). |
