titleOfInvention | Short-chain peptides as parathyroid hormone(pth) receptor agonist |
abstract | The present invention provides novel short-chain peptides of Formula 1 that act primarily as PTH / PTH-1 receptor agonists. Such short chain peptides exhibit increased stability against proteolysis. Most short chain peptides were found to be stable (in vitro) for up to 24 hours and exhibit increased stability compared to GIT enzymes and liver microsomes, such as gastric pH in rats pepsin and acid (in vitro). Because of the increased metabolic stability, some short chain peptides can be orally administered in addition to non-oral administration to promote the treatment / prevention of diseases characterized by hypoparathyroidism, osteoporosis and postmenopausal osteoporosis, and bone resorption have.
