abstract | The present invention relates to an in vitro expansion method of mature red blood cells. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for producing concentrated erythrocytes, characterized in that erythrocyte cells are cultured at a high density so as to physically contact the cells intracellularly. In particular, the method of the present invention is very useful in that large quantities of clinically useful concentrated red blood cells can be obtained through small vessels of an in vitro scale bioreactor. |
