titleOfInvention | Manufacturing method of composite for the adsorption of mercury and method for removing mercury in water |
abstract | The present invention relates to a composite material for mercury adsorption and a method for removing mercury from the mercury by using the composite material in which silica particles are dispersed in a PVA polymer matrix. According to the present invention, it is possible to produce a composite material having a porous, thermal stability, high surface area aptitude, chelate functionality and excellent mercury ion adsorption effect by hydrolysis and dehydration-oxidation polymerization of a silica precursor in a PVA matrix, When used as an adsorbent, it can effectively purify the water contaminated with mercury. The composite material of the present invention is advantageous in that it can replace a conventional mercury adsorbent sufficiently due to its excellent mercury adsorption effect, has a low manufacturing cost, and can be manufactured by a very simple method. |
