titleOfInvention Disposable tubing set and sterile sampling method for use in a cell expansion device
abstract Disclosed is a disposable device for cell expansion having at least one bioreactor. The bioreactor has a cell growth region and a supply region, and the cell growth region is separated from the supply region by a membrane. The recirculation path in fluid communication with the cell growth region allows air-tight removal of the sample containing the cellular material. The airtight removal includes a elongate tube or a plurality of parallel tube segments. The parallel tube segments have an inlet end and an outlet end, the inlet end being engaged at a first common intersection point and the outlet end being joined at a second common intersection point. The common intersection includes a valve.
