abstract | The present invention relates to an extraction method capable of extracting various effective ingredients such as saponin, which is a main active ingredient of ginseng, and an insoluble polysaccharide having excellent functionality, with high yield. The method of the present invention uses a pressurized hot water as a solvent to extract various active ingredients at a high yield, including components that are not used in conventional extraction methods. When the method of the present invention is used, insoluble active ingredients of ginseng can be solubilized and extracted at a time. Thus, the extract has high content of active ingredient and excellent flavor, so that it can be used as a ginseng functional food and a favorite food material. |
