abstract The present invention relates to an improved perovskite complex oxide catalyst on which a transition metal is supported which improves the selectivity of hydrogen and greatly reduces the selectivity of methane and carbon monoxide as a by-product. The present invention also relates to a method for selectively producing hydrogen by CH decomposition and CO retention of glycerol using the metal oxide catalyst. The improved perovskite-based catalyst (Ni x M y / LaCe x Al 1 - x O 3 ) carrying the nickel and the second transition metal of the present invention was applied to the reaction of glycerol to select the conversion rate of glycerol, Since the yield is kept high, it is useful as a catalyst for converting glycerol produced as a by-product in the biodiesel process into high value-added hydrogen, and is useful as a catalyst for the reaction process for synthesizing hydrogen having a high added value.
