abstract | A suspension of an electrodeposition coating composition containing a block copolymerized polyimide having a siloxane bond in its molecular structure and an anionic group in its molecule as a resin component is disclosed. Preferably, the block copolymerized polyimide contains a diamine having siloxane bonds in its molecular structure as one of the diamine components. It is also preferable that the anionic group is composed of a carboxylic acid group or a salt thereof and / or a sulfonic acid group or a salt thereof. Such an electrodeposition coating composition is excellent in heat resistance and film property uniformity, and can effectively form a highly-insulated electrodeposited film which is substantially free from separation or cracking from an object to be electrodeposited. |
