The extract of the present invention, which is an active ingredient of colored potatoes, particularly potatoes of self-contained and red-leafed varieties, significantly reduces serum IgE levels, prevents de-granulation of mast cells, and regulates the splenocyte cytokine ratio It has an effect of fundamentally inhibiting the pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis. Therefore, the colored potato extract of the present invention can be developed into various products as medicines, cosmetics and health functional foods for treating or improving excellent atopic dermatitis without fear of adverse effects shown in medicines for treating atopic diseases such as existing steroids.
