abstract The present invention relates to: a paint which can be advantageously used in protecting concrete structures or steel structures; a resin which is preferably used as a raw material for the paint and a preferred manufacturing method thereof; and a construction method for protection which preferably uses the paint. According to the present invention, the resin is a bisphenol A-fusion resin having a penetrating reactive functional group. The penetrating reactive functional group is characterized in that a portion of the functional group or the whole functional group is covalently bound with n-octyltriethoxysilicate.
