abstract | The present invention relates to a composition comprising a low molecular weight polyamidoamine-epihalohydrin resin (PAE resin) and a soy protein or lignin in a weight ratio of protein or lignin to PAE of 100: 0.1 to 0.1: 100. The present invention also relates to the use of a composition for bonding wood materials as a pressure-sensitive adhesive. A lower tackifier viscosity not only provides better handling but also allows less water in the tackifier formulation.
